		<description>You should look at yasnippet (http://code.google.com/p/yasnippet/).  I think it&#039;s a lot easier to write snippets for emacs using yasnippet&#039;s syntax.  And of course a lot of the snippets from textmate on macos can be used with yasnippet&#039;s mechanism too, so that&#039;s an added bonus :)
